So, I'm sittin' down at PokerStars playing 2/4 limit and doing just fine, when this rogue named mike4066 types some chat to me as an observer at my table. I exchange pleasantries with him as he gets on the waiting list to join my table.

After about 10 minutes he gets seated at my table. Mysteriously I go from doubling my buyin at the table to down $9!! And I didn't lose a dime of it to him! Luckily, I was able to leave the table up by a mere $7.

THE MAN SAT DOWN AND STOLE MY MOJO!!

I blame Mike and nothing will salvage his an my relationship!

I was up in a room and had the same thing happen to me. Fnord sat down at my table and my bankroll went down. Then he left and my bankroll started going back up.

Do we have an FTR jinx?
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...

Quite possibly! Like I said, I didn't lose a dime to mike4066. But I started getting rivered like you wouldn't believe!

The trick is to invite them to the table before they find you

It reverses the curse and then they will sit down and lose BBs :P

Well, it's just been a bad month for me overall. All in all, September has been my worst month since I started playing back in January. Been rivered more times than I care to remember. Still playing my game but the river beats are getting brutal.

I'm ready for October!
