Damnit I KNEW these would show up here

My TPTK / Overpairs have been good for absolute SHIT for the last 1.5-2k hands.I'm on the piss end of a huge down swing in 2/4. Its really got me wondering if i'm playing like an idiot.
My turn / river play as been so f'd that I don't know which way to go when faced with a decision anymore.

#1
I should have 3bet that river against you. Hell I ALMOST laid it down thinking i was slow played.. but then rememebered who I was playing against and just called.

#2
Nothing about that hand felt right. Although I should be happy the guy took a capped flop with 33.

nah i think you played #1 good. you both know each other, so it might be possible that Fnord just calls the 3bet preflop to hide his AA/KK/QQ cards which are normally cap cards.

i'm not a big fan of the turn raise...but it turns out you woulda lost the same amount because UTG+2 would probably bet the river if you didn't raise the turn.

At the time Mike knew who I was, I didn't know who Mike was. My line here is pretty standard for me.

Pre-flop: SB 3-bet is almost always the goods, particularly with a 1/3 blind structure. I have no edge against Ax or any pocket pair so I just call. Also, this keeps the SB leading out of position allowing me to pop him at will.

Flop: #$*% I missed, peel one

Turn + River: I just called the turn because I didn't want to slow down a hand like AK/AJ/AT/JJ/TT/99/etc. Also, if I pop the turn AA/KK/AQ is more likely to either 3-bet me or c/r the river. By waiting for a safe river to pop him I win the most if he's betting a second best hand, get worse hands to make a crying call and stop lots of better hands from 3-betting me because I'm representing a big hand.

Nice read, i would have folded the turn though if your Q didnt come.

Did you think he would have folded if you raised the turn?
