villain was unremarkable. little history... forgot the stats. maybe 30/15 or something
is shipping the flop an option? I'm guessing it's only good as protection against naked wraps or naked fd's. I'm planning on leading a blank turn. On the turn I just think my implied odds are horrible so c/f seemed best.

yeah I'd probably just 3 bet flop, here even if you catch a brick you can still only bet 10-12 and have to guess OTR. Give up as played.

I'd call flop and c/r bricked turns, not loving call and donk as I really dont want a psb left on the river with no clue on what to do on pretty much the entire deck. If the turn bricks we'll have to c/f spades, c/decide straight cards, and have very little idea what to do on bricks whether that be "value" shove or check to induce which I'm not a huge fan of either.

I wouldn't have thought about it that way.
I just didn't think there were too many bluffing opportunities for him with his missed draws, and he's not going to turn 88 into a bluff. But now I realize there are way more draws that he could be raising than I thought that he could bluff jam on like an offsuit Q river and I would hate life.
Why would you just call the flop tho? I thought that was a mistake looking back because he open limped the CO so I guess I can discard AAxx and I should be ahead of his drawing range.

Yes, AAxx is discounted but certainly not completely out of his range
A lot of draws, let's say something like KQJ5 with spades are flipping with your hand on the flop and you can even be like a 55/45 dog vs. a wrap+spades

I think he'll check back a lot on blank turns, if we had some sort of aggro read I would like that option more.
If you're worried he might have AAxx I would not lead the flop and hope to get two streets of value.
