5-handed 2/4. Hero is SB.

MP is Taggy and generally a good player.

No info on BB.

----- PREFLOP ----- dealt to Hero [9 9]

UTG folds, MP calls, Button folds, Hero raises, BB calls, MP raises, Hero calls, BB calls

----- FLOP ----- [6 7 3]

Hero checks, BB checks, MP bets, Hero raises, BB folds, MP raises, Hero calls

----- TURN ----- [6 7 3][J]

Hero checks, MP bets, Hero ????

Given Taggy Villian's pre-flop limp-reraise I just called the flop 3-bet fearing a big overpair. I was looking for an 8 or 9 on the turn. When a J falls can I safely put Villian on a higher pocket pair or something like TJs and give this up? Should I call down? Up until this point I hadn't seen this player open-limp, so I'm not sure what's going on here.
