I'm in a bit of a downswing and am wondering if I'm playing weak-tight. It seems that I'm negative because my premium hands are getting cracked but there's always room for improvement. I was reviewing my past sessions for leaks and this hand struck me as something I should look at. Pokertracker notes CO to be Semi-loose-Aggressive/Passive and MP1 a Loose-Passive/Passive (but I've got <100 hands on each). I tend not to stick around with overcards past the turn when there's any aggression to my c-bet (and most of my outs were counterfeited here). When I didn't get a spade on the turn I dumped the hand. Is my thinking proper here?

I usually play it the same, though with 4 people to that flop you could just check-call the flop to see if you improve. That would be even more weak-tight, but there's only so far you can take ace-high.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I probably would have check-called the flop, looking for improvement on the turn so I could go for the check-raise. Otherwise, I fold on the turn. Tough break on the river, but there is little you can do out of position against a raiser with only ace-high.

Weak-tight. You showed aggression preflop, the c-bet is almost a requirement. check/calling the flop would be incredibly passive.

With 3 other opponents, I can see checking here depending on table texture. That's a pretty horrible board for us.

Check call the flop. Board missed, multiway flop, two to act behind us and there is enough of a board to give a wide range of reasonable hands enough odds to call a bet.

Yeah, check/call isn't horrible here - but I don't think its ideal. Saving 1 sb is not worth giving up the initiative. Often you'll see Hero Bets, 3 folds. I think check/calling here is almost giving the hand away.
Maybe I'm playing too much 5/10 6max and have become overaggressive.

Multi-way against horrible loose/passive players, I value getting the best of it more than initiative.

And how does check/calling get you the best of it? if anything, getting raised encourages others to gtfo

You don't have the best of it, depending on the other players, etc. probably don't have enough fold equity to bet, so you may as well check and call a single bet because folding would be a pretty terrible mistake.
I can go either way here, bet or check. Depends on so many things...

Im reminded of the line, 'if you'll call a bet, bet.' But yes, it does depend on many things.
