Hand 1: I think it's marginal against an unknown, I think it's too likely he'll call down with a pocket pair and maybe see the river with an Ace.

I'd also like some read on SB because if he doesn't fold to the flop bet you don't really have the fold equity to bluff raise the turn. And if you don't bluff raise the turn then the flop call was bad as you have hardly any outs.

To make the turn raise +EV you need to win about 23% of the time so it might be profitable. However if calling the flop was part of the bluff plan then this has to work quite a bit more often since the increase in investment is greater proportionally than the increase in the prize.

If it's wrong I don't think it's wrong by much, same for if it's right.

Hand 2: Again I think it's too likely he wont fold a pair or he'll see the river with overcards hoping a pair will win at showdown. I don't think a 30 VP$IP player is the right target for this.

The turn raise needs to work about 29% of the time, I don't think it will against this type of player.

Did you cold-call preflop with the intention of making a play on a later street?
