mp3 is running 40/10/2.5 and a bit bluffy. btn is 30/20/1.2 and a bit of a station, but can overplay hands. put them on a hand as this donkey war goes down. hint: i was WAY off.

There's no other way to play it really.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I'd fold pre-. AJo out of position against stations and fishes ain't so great.

I don't know what BTN's 3-bet means. You say that he's a bit of a station but he does PFR 20 percent of the time-- that's a pretty wide raising range and he has position in this hand. In any event, as played, call the 3-bet.

On the flop, I like the check, and I also like the fold to BTN's 2-bet. His AF is 1.2. His range is seemingly made up of made hands, isn't it? And even if he has AK, he has you dominated.

Now, you've sort of given away the ending, haven't you? So what trash did BTN and MP3 show down?

i cant fold to the 3bet. and, i raise this early BECAUSE they are bad players. i feel that my post flop play will outweigh their stupidity enough to make AJo profitable from here. but, i am not getting full value from an AXX flop, thats for sure. i will opt to play that one a bit safe. well, that and i didnt expect a 3bet....hadnt seen one very often on this table. some raising, but not a lot of 3betting/capping.

here are the results...

Final Pot: 17.2 BB
MP3 shows:
BTN shows:

BTN wins 16.4 BB ( won +9.9 BB )
Hero lost 1.5 BB
MP3 lost 6.5 BB
BB lost 2.5 BB

and, to me, "station" merely means they wont fold any pair or lots of times Ahi. it doesnt mean they arent aggressive players. fish, to me, are the loose passives. stations can be maniacs, too. i have notes on lots of them that although they pepper the pots with bets and raises, they dont fold when being played back at. that separates the good lags from the maniacs, imo.
