Guys,

I was wondering if it is possible to achieve a long-run positive bb/100 by playing under the following circumstances/style:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
table(s):
$0.50/$1.00, loose as hell (60-75% Players/flop)

playing style in question:
loose preflop style--much more limping and calling than waiting for typical shorthanded raising and reraising hands.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know this is certainly an unorthodox strategy for 6-max, but with all the constant limpers and cold-callers at these tables, I feel like that if I also start limping with more hands that have good implied odds, it will yield good, if not better results than just standard SH preflop play.

This could just be a result of me being tired of raising AKs in LP, getting a cold call of K5o OTB and a few others that limped, then having rags come on the flop and knowing I have no chance almost every time---but I truly want to know if it is possible to bank on just implied odds and play a lot of hands passively preflop so you can wait for that monster hand on the flop when there are 3+ players in the hand.

I hope I haven't been too vague. Thank you.

limit is a game of pushing small edges. you raise AKs against 4 limpers because your hand is so damn good you expect it to win....except that the results won't converge until a couple hundreds of thousands of hands later.

as far as very loose passive games, where are you finding these games!??!?

anyways, if the game is as bad and as loose/passive as you say, i'm pretty sure you can be a winner just playing pairs, and nothing else.

What's the rake.

If the rake isn't oppressive that game can be destroyed. Make them pay lots of bets to see the flop with crap and they will go broke with hands that miss too often in big pots and chasing down stuff that doesn't get there.

Thanks guys. And FYI, those are the Absolute .50/1 tables.

However, they players/flop might have been so high due to it being a Sunday night--but to be honest, I don't really care--it's still huge.
