Trip 8s, then quad Qs.

You should have heard this guy ... you'd think he was under the impression that pocket As are invincible. Oh the whining didn't stop for at least 10 minutes. Bitch, bitch, bitch. I'm paraphrasing a little, but the comments in the chat box went something like this.

Whiner: "Since when do you call two-cold with J8"

Another Guy Defending my Play: "He didn't, he called one."

Whiner: "No he called two"

Defender: "No, Moron, He was in for his BB, and then called the raise". "Check the hand history".

Whiner: "You are all a bunch of fish"

Me: "I wonder where I should take my hot girlfriend to dinner tonight with your money"

Whiner: "Keep playing like that"

Me: "I would love to stay and take more of your $$ but I have to go and make dinner reservations" "Steak or Lobster ... so many choices"

Then, Qs hand:

Whiner: "Since when does QT beat AA"

Defender: "Shut up Phil Hel .... I mean Whiner"

Me: "When 3 other Qs come on the board"

Some other dude: "You guys are hilarious". "Shut up Whiner"

Defender: "You deserve a t-shirt for taking all Phil's chips"

Whiner: "Welcome to my buddy list fishies"

Defender: "Fishies that will enjoy spending YOUR money"

Then Whiner went on a 10 minute tilt spewing chips to the rest of the table.

TOO Funny ... my gut is still aching from laughing so hard. I tripled+ my $50 buy-in to the table to $165 in about 20 minutes of play.

Was my play a little laggy and did I get lucky? Of course!! But I was sooted

Did I mention I check raised him on the turn two hands l8r with a completed flush? Man, he was just steaming.

Nice taunting skills, creative and not vulgar.

Speaking of taunting skills (has nothing to do with LHE, alas):

In SNGs this kind of talk can be VERY helpful. I was playing repptyde style in one, and early on lost a hand to this guy; so I tells him "you and me are fixin' to play a pot."

He started gunning, opening up, going after me with ragged aces etc. It was just a matter of time lol. Then I says to this other guy "you're my next victim"

Oh dear, we got in this pot and just 'cause it was him I called a gutshot and nailed it (had chips to spare, so be nice)

It was like Babe Ruth pointing to a special spot in the outfield. Rocked. Best thing was that no one was ruffled; they'd trash talk back but it wasn't angry or anything.

Great tourney.

PS: yes, I made up "repptyde"
