Hey I'm just wondering how live your starting hands should be in stud8 studhi and razz. By "live" I mean the number of outs still available after considering everyone else's door cards.

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
 There is no strict answer for that, except you want to hand to be as live as possible.

For example if I am playing razz and my starting hand is A24, I dont really care how 'live' it is, because usually my opponents have to catch the same cards I do, so if my hand is not live theirs is not either.

In stud hi if I have AQA, I am going to raise and try to take the pot even if I have a dead A and dead Q.
However in stud8 for example if I have KKQ I need my hand to be very live to play
