My table image is very tight.

Loose but reasonable player open limps, the Action passes, I raise black Queens from the CO, Button cold donks, BB calls, limper calls.

Button just doubled through on the previous hand and has the better part of a stack. He even looks the part of a loser. Really passive, yet to see him raise worse than 2 pair.

Flop is 6 high rainbow.

I bet, button raises, folded to me and I 3-bet, button caps.

Turn is a King. Looks like a blank to me, but I check/fold anyway.

I guess, you put him on a set? Cold calling hands with that board don't *usually* contain two pair and if they did you'd surely have the outs to draw out on him.

He also could have an overpair 7s or have a hair up his butt, you know me I call down and probably donk the river just for fun.

I don't like this hand at all...I think you are giving up a winner vs 77-JJ too often here. I also think the fact that he just doubled up the previous hand gives him a better chance than usual that he is being stupid aggressive here with a random pair like A6-A2.

Is your table image too tight?

Does this player think he can take a shot at you? I don't really have much to say here, because at 9/18, that's a gut check situation. Honestly, at 9/18 I'd have made the same laydwon.
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

With a player on my right raising/3-betting over 25% of his hands I didn't have a choice. I'm pretty much forced to camp and re-raise him. However, that guy folding this hand set up a very pecular texture.

Nope, he clearly thinks he has the best hand and didn't choose to check behind the King.

Don't think he's gonna slow down a bit to bleed off his stack? If he only had 4 or fewer bets behind no way I fold.

Care to go in more depth? Is it becaue 9/18 is above your usual stakes? This game can play very loose and there is more money in LA, for what it's worth.

My take on this. I didn't like the laydown even when I made it, but sometimes I just go with my gut and make a play...

Do you fold AA here too? If you think about it, there isnt much difference to what you are putting him onand the relative strength of your hand (outside the him being able to spike an ace for his kicker), but you are calling down AA here probably always, especially HU.

No, I think both AA/KK are in his range here.

I'm thinking here that you were probably correct. I would fold JJ in this situation all day. Good odds, but given your really passive ready, I think it's a good fold.
