local 3/6 game
Table = VERY PASSIVE, Rarely see a 3bet or check raise from anyone besides "the nuts"
UTG+2 = tight player, makes the "big lay downs"
BB = Silly college kids, thinks he's the shit, but reads like a Dr Seus book.
I'm in Late position Kh Ks
Preflop UTG+2 calls, I raise, bb calls, utg+2 calls.
Flop 349 (3 suits)
BB bets, UTG + 2 calls, I raise, BB calls, UTG+2 Re-raises (call/re-raise), I call, bb calls.
Turn is a rag, BB checks, UTG+2 bets, I fold BB calls..
What would you guys do?
What can you put UTG+2 on?

Eh, I call him down here, just to pay him off for beating my Overs. If you're going to fold to the turn bet why call the flop bet? Anyway, I have no idea what you can put loopy players on, they play just about anything. UTG+2 prolly has you beat with a set.

i cant imagine laying down kings here unless everytime i had seen this person raise, they had at least a set. B&M players are bad. Just bad. I think its just as likely that limped JJ-QQ is present here. What was your image with this tight player? And how tight?
Also, if it was my hand, absent the above read, im three betting or raising the turn.

Sorry man, you're first episode was pretty good, you got it wrong here. Mike had a nice read on the guy, I'll give up the results and the other guy had 44, just as Mike thought.
Nice first few posts though, glad to have some new criticism around.

Understandable. I love those players that are *so* tight that they can be read like an open-faced roast beef sandwhich. However, if this is the case, i dont think you are going to be make up a full 5-51/2 BBs on the bigger street. Fold to the call-re-raise.. Then, when tightie shows his hand, tell him its the last time you fold to him because you caught a (better hand here) on the river.
Seriously though, with a read that good, easy fold. Nice hand though. Always fun laying down overpairs.

thanks Caro, It was just one of those when he 3bet from nowhwere I heard a voice in my head screaming "SET!"
My image to this guy? Bit aggressive, sometimes showing down the loopy hand
When he 3bet I though about the hands i would consider call/3betting with and I came up with a set.
Online with position I would have called him down.
Its just one of the things im finding different between online and live play.Subtle little things that you can't pickup online. I think part of it had to do with his actions during and prior to the hand.
I didn't pick up on all of it during hte hand but as i replay it in my head i can picture the entire thing like a movie. somethign about the hand besides the 3bet just smelled bad.
Here are some of the things I've recalled since then. Before this hand the 3bettor was having a good old time chatting iwth the guy next to him and hte dealer making jokes being somewhat loud. during this hand he kind of froze up a bit, he "quietly" 3bet like he was trying to slide it in un-noticed. How he had stopped joking around with the guy next to him. how after he 3bet he just kinda sat motionless lookin at the board not making eye contact or any moves in general.
It just ends up being alot of little things that help weight a decision.
