Just wondering if anyone would limp in here?

EDIT: somethings clearly gone wrong here... please see the HH in my post below

Turns out I lost to two pair (2s & 6s)..... I seem to lose so many pots like this on extremely loose tables where everyone is going to call my raise, I was just wondering if I should be limping in this situation when it is clear that nobody will fold and there are 5 hands against my mid/high pocket pair?

this hand is a bad example as there was a fold and someone left the table but say I was on BB and the whole table limped... is it really worth raising JJ? I would have thought the odds on getting outdrawn are huge? I know AA/KK is a definate raise here but is JJ really that good in this situation?

With JJ, if you're not going to raise with it, you have to play it for set potential.

I just went back and looked at the hand. Against 3 other players, you're doing fine! JJ holds up against 3 players in Full ring quite often. 6-max is even better. 6-max is a top pair game. Odds are, although slim, you'll have the top pair at the end of the flop. So raise!

The only time you really don't want to be getting frisky with a raise with a "premium hand" are the offsuit premiums when everyone and their dog have come into the pot. AK, AQ, and AJ are examples of hands that really want heads up action. Hell some authors go so far as to suggest throwing AKo away if the entire table limps in front of you.

Finally please review your logic:

"Well they're just going to draw out on me anyway, so I'm not going to bet even though I'm ahead. "

Got news for you. The most common draw will only get there right around 33% of the time on the river. Which means you win 2 and lose one. Therefore you want each and every pot where you're ahead and your opponents are drawing to be really big. You achieve this by betting.
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

JJ is a raise in a 6max game...period.

if you are 3bet, you may begin to think you are up against AQ+/QQ+, but you still call, and play for set value, and maybe cap if you think it can get you HU against a loose-aggressive?

multi-way or not, it is an overpair often enough that you can pound AK into multiple mistakes post flop. if you hit a non A or K flop against AK, you jump to a 75% favorite, i think.

you might not raise if you are oop, though, due to the aggression you will be forced to use w/o any info.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

JJ is at the very bottom of my PF capping range. Mainly b/c it's barely ahead of a standard players 3bet range.
