I have a question about this hand, something you limit guys fnord/toasty could help with. Should I have capped the flop? I'm thinking once it was just the 2 of us, leaving it at 3 bet would have been best.
my thoughts are in blue
I'm new to the table no reads yet.
PokerStars 0.05/0.10 Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A , Q .
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, CO folds, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, MP2 caps, Hero calls, SB calls.
AQs i'll 3 bet early position. OK it got capped, no problem
Flop: (13 SB) A , 4 , 7 (3 players)
SB checks, MP2 bets, Hero raises, SB folds, MP2 3-bets, Hero caps, MP2 calls.
TP2nd Kicker, back door flush. I might be in trouble with all the preflop action. AA/AK is possible, Raised to find out whats going on.. He re-raised.. I don't think I should have capped it here.
Turn: (10.50 BB) 5 (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero calls.
Back door flush draw now a possibility, looks like i'm calling
River: (12.50 BB) K (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero calls.
Missed the flush, my tp2nd kicker still good? was he betting KK/QQ preflop?
Final Pot: 14.50 BB

Look forward to it.
Pre-flop:
Close. Fold to a super-tight player, but at this limit don't worry. Consider a cold call (yes, I said it) if it will bring others along.
FTR:
Once he 3-bets either fold or just call it down. He's reprsenting a hand that has you destroyed. When he leads into you after you cap the flop, it's a really bad sign. This is the kind of situation where a read is in order.

I edited my post and put a few comments in, pretty much what I was thinking as it was happening.

Also, consider that if he is overplaying KK/QQ then capping the flop is only going to slow him down.

Good point. Thanks...
BTW,
I got out kicked.
Results in white below:
MP2 has Ac Kc (two pair, aces and kings).
Hero has As Qs (one pair, aces).
Outcome: MP2 wins 14.50 BB.
