Destroyable? I played a $10+1 LHE tourney today by accident, luckily I have read my copy of SSH, and pulled a solid 3rd against a good LAGG and a superTAG who won 7000 chips against 2 people with his aces.

I've never seen so many donkeys playing holdem in all my life. I knocked out a short stack to my right and left in the same hand when I hit middle pair with A6 (yes I know I'm one of those donkeys, but hey, I say it was a good read on their commitedness to a raised pot). Any thoughts on tagging up and farming the turbos?

Low-stakes LHE tourneys are probably the most easy to beat game I've ever come across. People go batshit insane during these tourneys. I think half the people signed up by accident thinking it was NL and then get frustrated that they can't go all-in...so instead they cap every street with absolute crap. That being said, I find them a little bit too roulette-like for my tastes.

Congrats on your win.

I dont think i've ever seen the words "solid 3rd" and a SNG before.

But, yeah, they're pretty beatable, but also high variance.

I love the 3 and 5 table SnGs on party I cash I’d say 85% or more of the ones I have played...

The $22 LHE MTT on party is soft I got 9th in the damn thing 2 days ago...

I've played around 45-50 of them, and have 35 of them in PT still with a 30% ROI.. Short sample size, but the variance was pretty sick so I stopped.

I have been playing quite a bit of the limit sng's, and am now playing $22 ones, where I have been doing quite well, although I am presently in a 7 otm's in a row swing. Is there more variance in these limit sngs than there is in the nl sngs?

I would agree.

As someone else put it eloquently, there appears to be a much larger "roulette factor" in the SNGs/tourns than in ring games because of the increasing blind structure.
