Preflop I like it looks as if you got enough people that limped in to make a limp +EV
Nice raise on the flop, getting goot pot odds I think there to raise
The turn plays it's self, same with river...

I care more about the fact they suck post-flop and the blinds are tight players probably looking to dump their rags at the first chance they get. My goal these days is to play more hands against bad players when I have position.

Gotta love EJ's tight outlook...
I don't know if I like it...but as long as you're not making this play into good players. I see no problem with it. (can you push an edge too far when they suck this bad?)

Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

I know I suck, but I like that play. I might have just called the flop, but the raise should keep UTG from betting the turn.

can you explain your thinking behind the flop raise? obviously you weren't trying to protect your hand because everyone except the BB was already in the pot and would not fold to one more bet. so you were either going for the free card play or pumping the pot because of the equity you had with the combination gutshot-trips-2pr draw (9 outs, but the three 8's were seriously tainted). what would you have done if the turn had been an ace and someone bet into you? if it was a blank, would you have taken the free card?
not criticizing anything here, just trying to get into your thought process.

Drawing board so I might have the best hand, I might buy a free card and it builds up my image as an action player. Also, consider that the free card play works more often when there isn't a flush draw out.
