villain is 33/33/4 over very small sample. i figure he 3bets a bit wide, but dont like my situation preflop. things get better on flop. what range are we assessing villain here?

theres not much we are afraid of, barring a raise, is there?

Over a very small sample it's hard to know what his range is because his stats have such a large margin of error. In reality he could be 50/50 or 10/10 or 50/10.

Without knowing any better, i think you played it perfectly. He could easily put you on a draw on that flop and be calling down with A high. Or he may just be curious and call to 'gain information'. Sometimes I c/c the river but without a read on that board I'd just bet.

i agree totally about the "stat read." its basically crap. but, it does hint that he may be a fool, so at these levels i tend to go with that until i get shocked, or his stats settle down.

i have him on missed overs. and, i would love it if the A drops. i feel, if he's that aggro, he would pop me with overpairs, the J on the turn, or even maybe bluff the draws....and likely put me on the exact same range, too.

i just felt there was very little that came that would scare me because he would turn his hand face up if anything helped. other than that, he was just checking to make sure i wasnt full of shit, too.

the reason i post this is because i never played like this before, and its a significant improvement to my game, imo....keeping the gas on through the river on a "(1st level) marginal hand." when in reality, its a strong hand given the flop and situation.
