Very interesting river check in hand 1. These players would have to be terrible to try for a c/r if they had a Q.

Hi Room

I thought about it afterwards. The problem with these two is that they played their misses hard, and then CR when they hit, and the Q scared the hell of out me. I mean, someone had to have AQ or KQ or JQ??

Room, I think you are right, I should have bet. But to be honest, I'm not sure if that if in the same situation with the same players again I could pull that trigger....

Probably not a good sign taht I know your are right, but still would be gun shy in this case.

i play hand 1 the same. i think there are good chances someone has a queen out there. BB raised you twice, which suggests he can "probably" has top pair or better. all the SB did was call, which suggests a flush draw or a weak queen that he doesn't want to fold.

of course if you look at the results, conventional wisdom is way off. i don't know wtf these guys are smokin...but i wanna know what...cuz they had no business doing anything of what they did.

Assuming likely ranges of hands here, the interesting thing is you only beat AJ, KJ, JT, TT, 99, 77-33, 8x or 2x (which is probably unlikely) or a complete miss (ie, AT). I think you've defined your AA-KK very well here and if I were the SB or BB and had a queen, I'm leading this edit: RIVER as you will likely check through, fearing the Q. Under this thinking, I think you can bet this river for value - unless you think your oppenent knows that you know this and will c/r. Very interesting river hand.
