Great set of sessions today. I've recovered 80.5 BB's in the past three days. I've just about crawled out of the tilty hell I built for myself a week ago. After re-evaluating my game, re-read SSH for a third time, been posting hands and stuff, I'm starting to notice a difference. Still gotta keep learning though, and here are some hands to evaluate.

Hand #1

SB is 67/40/4.25 (Maniac)
UTG+2 is 57/0/0.50 after 7 hands
Button is 38/0/0.75 after 8 hands

Table in general was passive, so I didn't fear a raise by limping with this hand. Was limping in this case still a mistake?

Also, assuming the limp is good, was my line too passive?

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 7, A.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

River: (4.50 BB) 8 (4 players)

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

Results in white below:
SB has 9c Jc (one pair, jacks).
Hero has 7d Ad (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins 8.50 BB.

Hand #2

MP2 is 67/11/0.64 (passive post-flop)

I'm suspecting my river bet was pointless and a waste.

Hand #3

SB is 28/0/1.11 (passive post-flop)

Did I properly probe and find a good fold, should I have gone further, or should I have dumped earlier?

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hand #4

MP3 is 27/0/0.44 (passive post-flop)

MP3 was nearly all-in anyway, so was the flush draw worth it, even with the small card?

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hand #5

BB is 80/20/0.42 (passive post-flop) after 10 hands
MP2 is 38/5/0.86 (passive post-flop)

Flop raise, misplaced aggression or good way to tell where I stand with an overcard and gutshot draw to the nuts?

Hand 1: I'm raising pre-flop cuz I'm a LAgg and I'm entering the pot after some dogshit hand probably limped. Stupid easy turn bet.

Hand 2: The pot is small enough that it's ok to lay it down. However, I make this play A LOT against aggro buttons.

Hand 3: Meh, heads up I just call down for a chance to spike a 2 if I'm not good.

Hand 4: What are you drawing to on the flop?

Hand 5: Meh, textbook sez to call this flop.

Fnord had the same reactions as I did.

Hand 1: easy turn bet
Hand 2: I don't bet the turn :/ we got the draws out
Hand 3: Call to spike a set or for that 10% of being good right there (I love overplayed small pocket pairs)
Hand 4: Fold the flop. Yes, you can check, but I'd fold just to make sure you're not tempted to bet your "flush" if you make it just kidding I'd check and THEN I'd fold
Hand 5: I'd lead, but I wouldn't raise the flop
