Wow. I'm not that loose defending or stealing blinds yet. I am extremely aggressive when I decide to enter a pot. I might have folded one or both of those hands (in particular the 89o from the SB), but would have taken the same line as you after having decided to enter the pot. Was the turn in hand 1 a whiffed check raise, or had you decided to call it down?

Most 6-maxers are way too loose, and a lot are passive postflop (I think since they miss the flop so often or end up with something weak like bottom pair or an underpair on the flop), so you can feel comfortable raising just about any playable hand if no one's raised in front of you. The overlay from that alone more than makes up for my conservative blind play, IMO.

I was in way ahead or way behind territory and really didn't want to get c/red on the turn.

Interesting. I'm in similar territory (VP$IP 21.5%, PFR 15%) but folding about 70% of my BB to a steal. I'm negative on both blinds, but substantially positive from every other position. I attempt to steal quite a bit from the button, but not so much from the SB, as I hate being out of position.

I wonder if we've played any hands together...
