You want atleast 1 bet in post-flop. Doesnt really matter where. There are two standard lines here. One being to bet the turn and check behind on the river. The other being to check through the turn and either call a river bet or make the bet yourself.

Either one is fine, but you definitely want to get a bet in post flop.

i'm confused.... should i have just called on the flop...?my thought process was to try and see where i was at... when he just called my raise i thought he at least had a king...... so i guess i'm wondering was i right to check it down... or should i have not check raised in the first place...

I like your flop raise. It does tell you where you are: when he doesnt bet the river, your QQ is almost ALWAYS good, so youve gotta bet it there. He's likely to call with A8.

I'll also bet the river, given his check on the turn and river. Suppose he could have been nervous with a weak king but he's more likely to have euphoricism's A8, or A4, or a pocket pair...

Yep, I'd bet that river, too. You're queens are certainly good there. You're almost certainly good on the turn, too, but the check there is to induce a bluff.
