Stole this hand from another forum, I think it's pretty interesting. Check, bet/call or bet/fold the river? Also what do you think of the flop play?

It is very interesting.
I can't say I like the flop play all that much why doesn't he just call a 3-bet. Ok so he's cap there kinda hide he's flush draw, since most player wouldn't play it this strong.
Anyways I can't see what is gained on capping the flop. Remember UTG checkraises preflop, which is a strong indicator of a premium hand like AA or KK.
If you call the flop 3-bet and raise the turn bet UTG is not going to slow down with a set of Ace's therefor I think you gain nothing by a flop cap.
I put UTG on aces and check trough on river.

Preflop limp raise + flop cap + turn cap + mysterious river check = I'll check too. I want to see his hand here and don't want to think about being c/r.

The river check is weird. If I have AA and make the boat on the river, I bet the river for value, but I don't think he did. I think the river check is an effort to feign weakness. He's not going to limp-cap with Axs. What else could he have given the action other than AA or a complete bluff. I check behind.

looks like AA, definitely check the river. The worst shit ever is when someone like UTG-3 bets the river, then gets reraised and you're facing 2 bets to call.

I agree with checking the river. The flush needs to be best 67% of the time to make this river bet (assuming we aren't folding to a raise) and it doesn't look like it. I think the most likely hands are AA 77 or Ax of clubs and they all have Hero's hand beat.
Results: Villain had AA.

I don't like the flop play either, I would just call UTG's bet. Oh and the flop cap was for a free card, nothing else. But I don't think he gets it often enough.
