lol thread title is great

Favorite book by far is Bob Ciaffone's Omaha Poker. It's a very short book but has many valuable kernels of wisdom.

Online, I really haven't found much for PLO hi (quite a bit for O8, but I am so terrible at that game).

Haven't seen any relating to Omaha either.

More or less, I learned the PLO ropes myself by starting in the $5 buyin Pokerstars games and then working my way up. You can pretty much nut camp and fold non-nut type hands when bet into every time up to the $25 buyin games.

At 50PLO there are still many donks, but some people will try to pull off some bluffs and try to snap off aces.

I play mostly 100PLO (on crypto) now, and the games are much tighter, but there are still enough donks that drop in to make it pretty profitable. You can also exploit certain rocky players pretty easily because you can represent scare cards so easily and they are often still in "nutcamp 25PLO" mode.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Simply think about it. That's how I learned.

By that I mean. On the flop, and turn, know your equity. HU and against 3 opponents. Get an idea of what they might have, and worst case what they could have, and know your equty against both.

Big thing, plan your next move like a chess match. You're going to pot that flop with top set? What do you do if 3 call and the turn flush completes? What line will get bottom set to continue? or... you are drawing, how will you get that guy who is potting into you to pay off? If you miss turn what's the plan? What river cards can you bluff him with? Are stacks deep enough to make it possible?

Know your position, and relative position (to preflop raiser, or table LAG donk).

There aren't any actual good books. That's why the game is so profitable. there also aren't any known programmed PLO bots yet, so far as I've found (yes, there are LOTS on NLHE, LHE, and especially MTT's).

Mostly, I like to think about where my money is coming from, both player wise and situational. Its all about thinking. Yes, you can nutpeddle a small living, but why?

i've never read a book

the only website worth jack is the 08 site I think it's www.08poker.com (now defunct)

My most important resource is the 2 dimes hand calculator. It's scary how a winning player @ 200 and 400PLO can be constantly miscalculating his equity. You need to familiarize yourself with the common situations.

Example: AAxx 2 hearts on a JT5 2 hearts flop
What's your equity against JJ88, TQKA, 9TJQ, T532?

Hand reading is super important too there's just a lot more information available to you.

Only thing I have read is the chapter in SS2. I have been splashing around playing $10PLO (once I got frisky and played $25). I agree with salsa, knowing your equity is quite difficult.

I will guess without cheating (assuming villian has no hearts, and your two "X"s are different): 40%, 70%, 66%, 55%

I don't think that's quite right

first hand is fairly accurate. I think it's more like 33%

second hand villain has 8 outs and you have redraws, so you're somethin like 75%

third hand your equity must be less than the fourth hand. it's a bigger 2 pair and there's a straight draw on the board. I think you might be 40%

fourth hand is very close to 50%. AA + flush draw vs 2 pair is a classic race situation in omaha.

I haven't checked this either. Feel free to prove me wrong.

Oh, I didn't even count the 2 pair in hand 3! 4th hand I actually did a little math.

Hand 1 is actally 65-35, I think I didn't count his redraws to boats if you flush.

I found today's comic funny in relation to finding a good Omaha resource... http://www.plusev.net/

Read the Omaha Hi chapter in SS2
Read NLHE T&P by Ed Miller. The stuff about position and pot control is like 4x more important in Omaha high since hand values run so close pre-flop.
