Villain is a stranger - less than 25 hands on him. He bought in with about 70Bb though, which seemed a bit wierd.
Preflop: Hero is Button with K , K .
UTG raises, 5 folds, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, UTG calls.
Flop: (7.50 SB) 9 , 5 , 7 (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG 3-bets, Hero calls.
Turn: (6.75 BB) 6 (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero calls.
River: (8.75 BB) Q (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero ???

As Played. Easy Check.
I have a VERY hard time believing that villain would PFR with 68. 3 betting with 99, 55, or 77.... riiight.
Therefore you slowing down on the turn is unjustified. (Simply because UTG didn't cap, would have definitely happened with AA)
The Way UTG has been playing. the check screams "you juz earnt yo-self a check RAISE".... so I check it out.

The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

Maybe i'm wrong but to me the river check says "uh oh, overcard to my JJ/TT". I bet this for value every time. Getting check-raised sucks and i would probably puke-call, but i'm not scared of much here - it's a pretty goofy way to play a hand that beats KK imo.

Hes not waiting to c/r a set on the river, pocket pair fo shizzy. Takes the same line with 1010,JJ,AA probably most the time but with AA more likely to bet the river. B/F, get those thin value bets on the river.

I bet. Anyone who sits down with that kind of cash at a limit table is playing tough guy - he probably hit a pair on the flp and thought you missed. PUNISH.
