Flop: (10 SB) 6, 8, 3 (5 players)

Turn: (6.50 BB) 2 (3 players)

River: (9.50 BB) Q (3 players)

I think you played it perfectly

You need to post reads to be able to get analysis. Remember that in the future.

Its very possible that your opponent rivered the flush. Without any reads on him I cant really say. If hes been playing LAGgy for the most, I think its more likely that he rivered second best pair - in which case, you would have played him like a fiddle. If hes a player that hasnt been playing many hands, or been playing quite passively... you might be in a bit of trouble. The straight possibility doesnt seem applicable here. The fact that hes calling down to the turn, and waking up on the river makes me suspect. Again, without reads, I cant really say.

Thanks, I will remember to post reads in the future. I didn't really have much of a read on this guy. This was my first button after sitting down and really didn't know very much about him yet. That was partly why I called the 3-bet instead of capping. Posting result...

Capping would be silly. After 3-betting the river he will almost always show you at least 2 pair. HU an arguement can be made for just calling his river bet since it's likely a win 1 or lose 2 situation against a passive player.
