With 13-14 outs your hand has about 30% equity therefore a bet is only for value if at least 3 of your 4 remaining opponents call, I don't think that will happen very often. Since your pair of fives is unlikely to be the best hand at the moment I'd take a free card. Also you might avoid a check/raise this way.
