Hi guys,
Something weird keeps happening t ome in this specific B&M. I have gotten a set of Aces on flop 5 times in this B&M where I was holding the pocket Aces. I am yet to win A SINGLE ONE !!

I mean, i am not talking one top pair, i am talking 3 of a kind and still cant win with it even 1 out of 5 times. Out of these 5 times, 2 times i lost to runner runner flushes, 2 times to runner runner straights and once to a gutshot straight.

but I have won with trip aces (where i have one and 2 on the board!!). is there some maths to it ?


Not that I am least bit upset (obviously i was at the moment it happened in the hand!!) but it just strikes me as weird.

Is it just random or too small a sample (i sure should be winning majority of my set of aces when i get it at least 50 times, no ?? )

P.S. day before yesterday, I got my set of Aces on flop cracked by a straight by a guy playing 4-7s. However, i made some of it back when I made QUAD aces (flopped aces full of jacks ) same night. bet the whole way and had people calling. One guy had trip jacks other on a royal flush draw. .

Yeah, that'll happen, and its not in any way your fault. But yeah, small sample size. It'll come around, promise.

I just hope you made him pay out the ass to draw on you.

I bet the whole way when I had my set (and also on the hand i had the quads). This is B&M. In both the hands I was out of position (blinds). So i didnt want to check and have it checked around as i was the preflop raiser. Here in B&M they will call but will not bet, even though it costs the same.

I probably could have check raised the turn with my quad hand as one guy had trip jacks but i didnt know that and neither did i care. not every day one gets quads and i will be damned if one street gets checked around when i have the quads and only 2 people in the hand in the turn!!

that is why position owns... you can't bet a weak drawing player out of a pot in a b&m as much as you can online.

Case in point:
I hold AKs and raise UTG, donk cold calls in MP
Flop comes 64A, I bet, he calls
Turn 3, I bet, he calls after counting cards to a straight
River 5, I bet, he raises, I'm fucked and cry <-- should've check/called at this point
He shows 77
