OK, so I am playing online tonight in the lowest of low limit games on Titan Poker. I started running pretty well up 20/25BB or so when I hit a patch of bad beats which until quite recently would have tilted me to no end. That is until now.
In the past I had always played way over my bankroll and it seemed like every hand was do or die. Now, playing actually under my bankroll, something like 1000BB or so I have really been able to not care about bad beats as much. Bad beats used to ruin my day, and I knew it was b/c I had so much pressure to perform perfectly every time I played.
If anyone out there is struggling with technique or feeling the pressure of a dwindling bankroll I would recommed revisiting these low limit games and really focusing on good strategies and being able to forget about a beat after it is over. I got two outed by the same player two straight hands tonight. In the past my laptop my have been thrown out the window; however, now I took it like a champ, realized the guy was going to give that money back and then some the way he was playing, and turned a tidy profit tonight.
In summation, give the lower level limits a chance boys, it is a great way to practice the game, work on your own psyche, and still build your roll a little at a time. I know this is a bit of a ramble, but I know there are players like myself who have struggled with tilting and this is a great way to conquer it. As your roll grows then beats at each level will no longer carry the "sting" they once did.
Play well everyone

When I make the run to Tampa to see my kids, I always stop at Seminole Hard Rock. Their ring games suck (1-2, 2-2 Limit) but they have some good SnGs and MTTs. While waiting to get dirty in the Tourneys, I will feel a bit maschistic and play a little at the 2-2.
The game plan is simple.....STAY WITH THE BASICS! Go over your road map. Play tight, scope out the players well, don't get cute, and be patient.
I go Daniel Negreanu, become friendly, make small talk, and watch everyone. It gets me back on track when I'm a bit shaky and reminds me what my mission is. Good take on your end. Thanks..
