From todays session, pick the hand you feel you played the worst. I'll, of course, start. Obviously, include the way you could and probably should have played it.

Party Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $3/$6
9 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with J J
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, 4 folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: 8 4 K (9.33SB, 4 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: 5 (6.67BB, 4 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, MP3 checks.

River: T (6.67BB, 4 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero folds.

Results:
Final pot: 8.67BB
MP3 shows Tc Ad
UTG+1 doesn't show 9d Td

If you're going to pussy out and check the turn -- when it checks through, NO ONE HAS THE KING. Ugh. Good job giving away the pot you built!

Eh well just to shame myself. The hand before this the villain had hit a Q on the turn to his QQ to beat my AKs that I hit an A on the flop with. So yes was tilting a bit, shoulda know I was beaten on the flop and just laid it down.

Can't think of any bad hands from today. I've been playing short handed NL SNGs for the last week and loving it. Maybe the time I raised KTo UTG. But that can't be too bad.

THE AGONY OF K7 SUITED

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7, K.
2 folds, MP1 calls, 4 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) 8, 3, 7 (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP1 calls.

Turn: (2.50 BB) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero calls.

River: (6.50 BB) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

Your standard dim call to the river with a mediocre hand. It's a little like shooting heroin... just one more bet, just one more...

HAND 2

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7, K.
5 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 3, K, Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 7 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

River: (9.25 BB) 8 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 11.25 BB

Just loved the bbs 3 bet with T5s, and how I cost myelf an extra bet by so cleverly slow-playing TP on the flop.

Is it valid to post a constructive critique in this thread?

Meh, it is a 2/5 blind structure where it costs you $8 to enter, it might as well be a cold call from OOP.

I tried to run AQ over with KQ when the board ended up QQ754 rainbow. capped on every street after the flop. I just didn't think, hey, this guy may have AQ. it was terrible.
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

What is the problem here? Do you even look at the hand histories before you post them or do you just say you played it bad or what and then post here?

I'd play that hand the same way every day and twice on sundays. I will never fault myself for not calling the river bet getting 10-1.

I thought myself right out of this hand. In my defense, this was about the only way I woulda won, and my read wasn't too far off. I guess. Hows that for rationalizing folding mid-set?

I gotta say, usually your supposed bad plays aren't actually very bad at all, but folding second set in a huge pot for one bet on the river when you are closing the action is pretty terrible

Well you could argue that I should raise the flop, but there's no way I should have bet the river. I wouldn't really consider it a bad beat since he had me completely dominated preflop. I just got lucky and then unlucky.

What is the problem here? Do you even look at the hand histories before you post them or do you just say you played it bad or what and then post here?
