Newish to the table so i didnt have any reads.
Of course i was worried about the flush as i didnt even have a spade to fall back on.


Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, J.
2 folds, UTG+2 raises, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (15 SB) 7, T, 5 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (11.50 BB) 5 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls.

River: (15.50 BB) 4 (4 players)
SB checks, BB folds, UTG+2 checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 15.50 BB

Bet the river or just check it?

thanks for the input.
I think playing the river is a big weakness in my game. I tend to just try and get a cheap showdown unless im positive im way in front.

a lot of times you'll find a busted flush draw or at best a lower pair here. Don't give credit for the flush unless action tells you so, particularly if there are only 3 spades out
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately
