Needless to say I probably played the hands too recklessly. I would appreciate the input at exactly what stage i should have slowed down. contrary to my previous stupid plays (jamming with TPTK) in the first 2 hands I had a much better hand, but not the stone cold nuts i guess.

well lesson learned. or is it

Hand 1:

Reads are really important here, if he has a high PFR we can rule out AA-JJ because he would have capped preflop. Against an unknown I would probably still raise the river but I wouldn't cap, once he 3-bets the river he has TT the majority of time.

Hand 2:

I raise the flop, don't risk missing out on bets.

It seems really weak but I think I would just call the river bet, I can't see him leading the river with two pair after you capped the turn. Either way I think the river cap is spewing.

Hand 3:

I would call down after the turn raise. Most players would play an 8 this way and the 6 is a very innocent card making it less likely he's just hit his hand. If the turn was a Queen I might 3-bet because there would be less chance his raise meant an 8.

Your reason for 3-betting the turn is bad.

"I reraised turn to see if MP1 was trying to bluff me"

If you raise the turn you're raising it for value, if you think MP1 might be bluffing then 3-betting is the incorrect play.

Don't post results.

Hand 1: The river cap would suck if he could 5-bet, with a 4 bet cap I wouldn't fret over it.

Hand 2: I usually just call the river 3-bet too. Similar concept to hand 1. I would raise the flop because I would love to get action from an over-played 4 flush, although that kind of thing is less common at .5/1. In any case, a 3rd spade is going to kill your action.

Hand 3: Trips love to smooth call the flop and raise the turn. I would just call the raise and think about what river line I want to run.
