Well i'll start with my reads on the table then go from there... it was 4 handed iand these players seemed to be too tight for 4 handed so i had a good amount of fold equity on the button with a widge range of hands...

so i flop a set so i think i'm ahead here... he checks i bet he smooth calls, the turn lol gives me the pure nuts, but 67 s00ted in dimands has a redraw but i'm not worried about it...

so basicly he checks i bet knowing he has a hand now, he c/r like i hoped, i 3 bet, and to my amazment HE CAPS!!!

river doesn't give the posible SF (would have capped even if it did come in), he bets out i raised. when he 3 bets i'm like WOW...

any budy got a guess as to what this guy holds (JUST FOR FUN)...

Well this really looks like 88 or 55, or the A-high flush, but judging from your post it wasn't any of these more reasonable options.

So I'm going to guess A 8.

had a similar experience last night at 3/6 (first time trying 6max at that level, just for shits and giggles).

table was tight and tricky. got T8s and attacked the blinds. both call.

flop is 47Tr, check to me and i bet. i expect to get c/r'ed by anyone who puts me on two face cards. SB calls, BB raises, exactly as planned. now i 3bet to knock out SB but SB cold calls. BB calls.

turn is a second T, so now i figure i'm golden. even if BB has AA, he is now way behind. checked to me, i bet, SB folds, BB checkraises again. i 3bet to prove that i indeed have a T. now BB caps. oh crap, does he have AT??

river is a miracle 8. now i know for a fact i have the unbeatable nuts. now i pray he has AT. BB check raises me A THIRD TIME and we cap. he shows first...

44 for the boat on the turn!!! i rivered the poor fucker with a 4-outer. runner runner boat over boat for like $140.

i took the money and hightailed it outta there like there was no tomorrow!!

No time to stick around and see what more you can extract from a now possibly tilting villian?

Yesterday I beat someone that was holding AK with my own QJ on a board of 9TKAx, followed by the immediate next hand with me beating his AK with my own KJ on a board of KJxxx. After these two hands, he was tilting so much he almost fell out of his chair. Add to that that I continued to run well, and it's no surprise that I won another 40BB off him in just a few orbits before he decided to leave.
