Table read - Button is an absolute maniac. He is in every pot and raising everything preflop. Everyone else is fairly solid and we are taking turns taking shots at this guy's stack. Loosest .50/1.00 action I've ever seen at PokerStars.

Would any of you have played this hand differently? I slowed down a little on the turn and river instead of capping. I didn't like the fact that we still had 3 way action at the river and figured I might be beat. Do you play this faster? Do you think I'm beat?

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: lhoney2 is MP2 with A, A.
UTG raises, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, lhoney2 3-bets, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB caps, BB calls, UTG calls $1 (All-In), lhoney2 calls, CO calls, Button calls.

Flop: (24 SB) 2, 6, 5 (6 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, BB checks, lhoney2 bets, CO folds, Button raises, SB calls, BB folds, lhoney2 3-bets, Button caps, SB calls, lhoney2 calls.

Turn: (18 BB) 6 (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, lhoney2 bets, Button raises, SB calls, lhoney2 calls.

River: (24 BB) 6 (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB bets, lhoney2 raises, Button 3-bets, SB calls, lhoney2 calls.

Final Pot: 31 BB

Main Pot: 12 BB, between SB, UTG, lhoney2 and Button.
Pot 2: 19 BB, between SB, lhoney2 and Button.

I might have slowed down on the turn too.

But I can only say one thing.

CAP THE RIVER!

There is ONE card in the deck that is going to beat you.

There can be no bigger full boat. You have the second nuts, and the nuts are quads. Take your chances against quads and CAP.

I have been in this situation I believe 3 times this month. I've only lost to quads like this once so far. I've capped this river more than 3 times, definatly makes up for the 1 that I lost.

Yeh, I definitely missed a bet there. I should have taken a deep breath and evaluated the situation a little better. It's only one bet, but those can add up.

BTW - nobody had the 6. One guy had pocket K's, another had pocket 8's and the maniac had 45o. I had the best 6's full hand. Still a +23 BB gain, but it could have been better.

Don't fret over the river mistake. It's at worst a 2BB error.

Well played hand.
