So I've got a few full-ring limit hands logged in PT now. Mostly playing .25-.50. Doing ok, want to examine my stats and play (i'm currently enjoying vpip25, pfr10, flop/turn/river af about 2) and close leaks. So... How would you recommend doing this? My plan is:

1) Look at the ten worst performing hands, examine the HHs, see where I'm going wrong (probably going wrong by playing them at all - worst three are A8s, Q9s, K7s!!!! ooops)
2) Look at the magic 19 hands (AA, KK etc,) and see where I'm making money on them/losing money on them. Try and figure out how to make more and lose less.
3) Blinds. Not surprising I'm doing worst (profit/loss) in the BB, then SB... Try and figure out when I'm losing more than I think I should be there, maybe learn to defend them more?

Any of these things a waste of time? Any suggestions for other things to look at early on?

how many hands do you have logged? unless you have 100k or more, your sample size isn't extreamly reliable for looking at your marginal hands and what is making you money and what isn't. You are far better off looking at overall stats and reviewing HH's (post HH for critiques)

Blinds always cost you more than you expect. what is your bb/HAND for small and big blind?

Post PT stats summary page and some hand histories.

ok, here are some numbers. Brief history first(quoted from my beginners circle introduce yourself post
Goals: Build a roll - I cleared my accounts to zero in July. Deposited fifty at party and am trying to turn that into a thousand. Decided to withdraw 400 if I got above 500, did that a few days ago. So now trying to turn 100 into 1000...

I only got poker tracker about when I withdrew that first 400, so have no information on what i was doing right/getting lucky with...
Had my first run of losing sessions recently as well.
I've only included stats from .25-.50 (if i need 100k for a meaningful sample then <5k definitely won't cut it!)...

Total hands 11,436, VPIP 24.55, VPIP SB 35.52, Fold SB to steal 82.91, Fold BB to steal 54.55, Att to steal 25.24, Won $WSF 33.38, Amount won $48.56, BB/100 0.85, WSD 32.27, Won $SD 54.86, PR raise 8.73, PR AF 0.46, FlopAF 2.07, Turn AF 1.81, River AF 1.75, Total AF 1.08

Also:
BB/Hand SB= (0.07), BB = (0.28), I've only included hands with 6+players here, but this included data from other limits as well.

I've put in a couple of hand histories so far, will add a few more that I am uncertain of over the next week. I think a big leak i need to close down is not folding the turn when I know I'm beaten, and calling down instead. Another is my habit of calling draws on the flop, assuming implied odds that probably don't exist. And another is semi-bluffing out of position.... started working on those already!

So I've come to terms with the fact that I am not very good, think I just got lucky for a while. Especially post-flop. Which means that I shouldn't be trying to play LAG at all. Writing replies to hand history questions etc has definitely opened my eyes about my own play. So, new plan. Learn to play tight and well. Very few speculation hands in early position, and only rarely in a raised pot even in late position. Should bring VPIP down to 17-ish. More aggressive post-flop, think seeing less flops will make this easier. Going to play 1k hands limit like this at the lowest micro limit, then 2k at .10-.20 (want to get used to playing like this), then 0.25-.5 for ages. Will write here again after another 10k hands.

Sound like good plans?

elipsesjeff is an unknown quantity at this point
Looks like your Big Bling play sucks the big one. You should consult SSH for any HH questions at these limits, before trying to play a "LAG" strategy. Although, the "LAG" you say is actually more Loose/passive than it is loose/aggressive.

The SSH HH guidelines will take you down to about 16/10ish using the tight table guidelines; you can use your own judgement on some tables where you can be 20/14 which will bring your avg up to 18/12 or so.
