Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K, Q.
UTG calls, Hero raises, 3 folds, CO calls, 3 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) K, 4, 8 (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, CO calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (5.25 BB) 7 (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, CO folds, UTG calls.

River: (7.25 BB) 8 (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.25 BB

Results in white below:
UTG has Tc Jc (flush, king high).
Hero has Kh Qd (two pair, kings and eights).
Outcome: UTG wins 9.25 BB.

Put (lc) by the Subject title next time...(this really belongs in the bad beats area)

You got unlucky here but UTG's play isn't awful.

The only street he played badly was the flop and it isn't really terrible. He had about 1.5 outs for the backdoor straight draw and close to 1.5 outs for the backdoor flush. He was getting 9-1 and needed about 14-1.
