Standard. When he 3bets your early preflop raise from PF himself he will often have TT+/AQ+ here as well as position on you. I only cap AK in spots like that against loosey goosey raisors.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

actually that was part of my thought process. It was guaranteed to be hu and i thought caping would just be bloating the pot plus if i hit my hand i can c-r the pf aggressor also by just calling it makes it hard for hands like a/q to put me on a/k

Where's the preflop deception? If you mean not capping, that's pretty standard. I'll only cap AKs with one opponent.

Actually most people at micro stakes over value a/k off and will usually cap it.

But do good players at microstakes? No. The cap is less ev than calling the 3-bet so many solid players wouldn't be doing it. I don't see it as deception then, merely a poor player being mes-mo-rized by solid play.

What? This isn't jackassery. I'm trying to help a guy understand that it's solid play, not deception.

Besides, it's probably to your advantage if your opponent gets pissed and goes on tilt...unless you're at the same B&M table and he's armed.

I really don't think there was any PF deception here.
|
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

I have already explained that at micro stakes my play could be thought of as deceptive as most people cap a/k off. They give it as muck credit as a big pair.

Rude? lol, who are you playing, a bunch of grannies? I guess if you're worried about being popular at your table you could explain to granny why you thought a preflop cap wasn't +EV, but i doubt she would get it.
The checkraise was a bit impudent as well, L.O. I think you should apologise to granny for that too.
Seriously, this is poker. Deception is part of the game. Rude is getting upset with someone who played a hand well against you.

Next time limp-reraise to *really* piss 'him off, slowplay the flop, c/r the turn...and taunt him in chat. OK, omit that last as it really IS rude. Then play absolute ABC poker while he jumps at shadows in his paranoia.
