After the flop, we've established that the A is out there. Do I continue leading, or go for a check raise?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4, 5.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero checks.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 5, 4, A (5 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 raises, MP3 calls, Button folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: (8.75 BB) T (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP3 calls.

River: (12.75 BB) A (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 calls, MP3 folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 15.75 BB

(Oh and the river call, I don't know what happened there. Ignore that part.)

Some Mike Caro 101...

Consider that after MP1 calls you need a stronger hand to over-call because you now have to beat BOTH UTG+2 AND MP1. Hence, this is a really easy river laydown.

However, when applying the over-call rule you need to be careful when the over-call is by a really bad player would could be over-calling with a hand like KQo just because he doesn't know any better. I've laid down a couple winners in spots like that until I learned to almost ignore them when making a call vs fold decision.

See above...I think it was just a brain fart, I'm not beating any hand that is realistically still here on the river.
