I love when I see people capping AK paired the whole way...means I found my table.
Nice Pot

Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

What site?
How did you get involved pre-flop? How many ways was it capped?
AK should darn well take you to showdown, but over-played his hand on the turn and way over-played the river. The 72 guy is just being silly.

It depends, if it's just a TAgg who's way too aggro then he won't dump much money. However, the 72 guy is certainly donating.

I understand what you mean...But when I'm playing lots of hands for flushes and straights and sets...Capped pairs to the river are beautiful. Yes my variance is gonna look like an EKG of a heartattack but I think it's profitable enough.

i was MP and folded to me. i raise thinking i might be able to take it right here. 7-2 guy raises and ive seen him playing maniac so i call. guy check raises after and its only $5 more so i call.
flop onwards its self explanatory. it was just bet-raise-reraise-cap every round.
site was absolute.
and wtf are you guys doing up now. i havent gone to sleep yet, didnt expect 3 replies so quickly. what would your mom say if she knew you werent asleep fnord?? its a schoolnight.

It's a tough way to make an easy living. When it's your paycheck a really bad run sucks twice as hard.

just messing with you fnord. didnt know that you played for a living though. dont think i could ever do that. i always like to play no more than 3 serious games a week (6-7 hrs at a time live). online i play when im bored and when im learning new games (limit, omaha, 7stud, tourneys etc).
on a side note ive been playing a side game of omaha $1/2 h/l pl and ive had 3 different pocket pairs in 3 different hands and hit 3 sets in a row. even though its omaha im sure the odds of it are phenomenally low.

You're aware that small pocket pairs are sucker/pay-off hands in that game, right? (well in Hi only, but I can see a 2-way hand like A22x or 2234 being g00t in Hi/Lo.)

yep, ive been playing this game for a while now.
i play them like bottom 2 pair in nlhe. i figure i have the best hand but am in no way invested.
my lowest pair was 66 and that gave me a 6s full of 3s boat on a 633 flop. so i wasnt worried there. on another one i flopped a set of 7s and eventually my hand evolved to a straight and i folded when the flush card came.
the other hand was qq and i took a nice pot.

Consider that a lot of money is lost in Omaha Hi by Hold'em players that play small pocket pairs and put their stack behind the worse end of set over set. I imagine it's the same deal in Hi/Lo. I'll play down to JJxx with any 2 cards for a limp in any Omaha Hi game I would bother playing in because this happens so often. Unless you're dealing with an idiot, you're pretty much only getting post-flop action from a better hand or a draw (with lots of equity, leaving you not much of an edge.)
In these games you really should avoid starting hands that won't flop a hand strong enough to put your stack behind. The blind structure just don't force you to play them even if you could squeek out a profit with amazing post-flop play.

first hand i had A3 suited so there was no way i was folding a limp preflop.
second i had kq double suited so i was definitely calling.
qq had i think 10j, 2 cards were the same suit and the others were rainbow. cant really explain that one.

Doesn't sound like a +EV PL Omaha hand to me...

the 77 part definitely brings the hand value down, but i played it mainly for the flush and the high straight. i guess i am overvaluing it, but i dont think it has that bad of an ev.
in retrospect i guess it really isnt that playable. i see about 15% of hands when really i should be seeing 5. its just so tempting on a 5 way limped hand.

Meh, not that bad given that most players in those games are seeing like 25-50% (or more.)
I'll shut up now.
