I read about this bluff in a book called "The Book of Bluffs". I've tried it a few times, and it works wonders. It's called the "I'm in the Blinds. I could have anything" bluff. Basically, if the board is paired all under 10 and there are no draws of any kind, bet out of the BB, even against a ton of people. I'd say it's worked about 70% of the time for me:

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Silverfist is BB with T, 2.
UTG calls, 6 folds, Button calls, SB completes, Silverfist checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 3, 8, 8 (4 players)
SB checks, Silverfist bets, UTG folds, Button folds, SB folds.

Final Pot: 2.50 BB
Main Pot: 2 BB, won by Silverfist.
Pot 2: 0.50 BB, returned to Silverfist.

Results in white below:
No showdown. Silverfist wins 2.50 BB.

It works best if you are only 3 handed, and have middle position, it's a bit dangerous with 4 or more players because is any one calls they will probably be calling down or raising the turn and your surely going to be beat if you get any action... HU or 3 handed I can see this kind of board bluff, however 4 or 5 handed your not going to get though everyone majority of the time at least one donkey calls...

As for higher levels and bettor players you might get raised by over cards to for a free card or to see if you have the 8 or to see if you’re fucking around... If you tried that at party .5/1 you get 2 callers probably at least one for sure... I just think getting cute against donks is -EV...

I will add that I think it's important that there is no Pre-flop raise for this to work. (But then we'd dump our junk anyway.)

Heh, I tried this last night and it worked. I bet into a field of 4 other players and every one folded. Nice trick, I'll keep it in my bag.

Meh. I think this will stop working at about 3/6.

Yea if I think the player is capable of making this play I’m more apt to raise… So theoretically if you c/r and get 3 bet after the raise the 3 bettor has bettor probably has the trips unless it’s a real maniac so raising after a donk lead with like AK becomes more standard as player get more Argo, the raise with OC has opened up more doors to take down a pot against decent players… if it’s not raised preflop and someone comes over the top here there is no way you can’t call…

Against weak opponents that over call everything I think raising a donk bet is –EV because they don’t fold enough hands, and leading is –EV because they call to much… so really to me it’s a c/f situation…

Ask Jeff about getting raised all the time with marginal hands at 30/60…

I will do this just a small amount so when I do lead out it conceals my hand. More or less a balance issue. The same reson why you bet out with an Ace when you have one. If you never do, how do you expect them to believe you when you dont.
