The guy leading out on the river is 34/19/1.8. The raiser is a standard TAG who I have played several times, 17/12/2.4.

I often don't know what to do when I face 2 bets on the river in these situations:

PokerStars Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q, 10
UTG calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB calls, BB checks

Flop: (5 SB) 10, 6, Q (5 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, MP2 calls, SB calls, 1 fold, UTG calls

Turn: (9 BB) 6 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB calls

River: (12 BB) J (3 players)
SB bets, UTG raises, [color=#666666][i]Hero...

Nasty spot.

UTG (TAG) river raise in a 3 way pot is a pretty strong move. Rarely a bluff, unless you have a read. Preflop he could easily be limping stuff like JTs (you beat) QJs,89s,76s,65s,A6s (you lose).

SB could have any 2 cards preflop, but I think he beats you often enough to swing this to a fold. SB only has to beat you a small percentage of the time to bust your odds.

I can't see SB having a 6 here given his line if he is like most villains. Most would check raise that turn with 6x. But given his aggro stats, he could well be one of those tricky aggro types and be sitting on a monster hand like T6-A6.

I really can't piece together what SB could logically have. 9c8c perhaps. He *shouldn't* be donking anything worse than QT here, but laggos defy logic a lot.

UTG's line/river raise makes me want to put him squarely on QJ.

I'd probably call during the heat of battle, but after thinking about it, could perhaps find a fold. Especially since SB may well be taking some strange monster line.

The only way I can see us winning here is if they both turn up with a retarded combination of hands such as KcJc, KQ, AQ.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

i can find a fold here. UTG is not bluffing, and hasnt really let off the aggro button the whole hand. you 3bet the flop and he leads a paired turn into you again? he has a Q, but is his kicker better? would he limp KQ?

should we have raised that turn?

my guess is also QJs. if played, KQs may raise, but KQo may limp. AQ hopefully raises. JJ? that raises pre, too.

the fact that QJ is a big portion of what i see here (makes sense that QJ thinks the paired board coolered someone and the river J makes him positive) is forcing us into 2bets on the river makes this a fold for me.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
