My table image is very aggressive. I was going at it with the table LAgg, then he left. So I'm opening-raising more pots than anyone else. Players are starting to run funny lines against me.
Villain looks like a 20/5 split, semi-aware.

I reraise the river for sure. The odds of him having AA, KK, AQ, or complete crap are higher than the odds of him having JJ or QQ. Especially with how often people at the 3/6 tables like to raise the turn or river with nothing to try and steal.

He either has an overpair or a set. Since you can't fold to a cap and he will only cap a set you lose 2 bets when he has a set and win 1 when he has an overpair if you raise.
So to raise you need to be good here 67% which I don't think you are. I call.
Edit: Oh yeah, explain your preflop cold-call.

One word: Button and HU. On a flop of all unders 77 is leet, if not he has folding equity to any face.

It was soooo hard to only hit the call button, but it looked too much like JJ to raise. I called and he showed a set of Jacks.

True but I would be worried about BB calling along because 77 doesn't play that well 3 handed. If either SB or BB call 77's equity drops greatly.
I've always either raised to get it heads-up or folded in these situations. I might experiment with calling.

I agree with a pre-flop raise to isolate here. If you are up against any A-face hand (or any other high-carded, two over-card holdings) you want to make it heads up so that you go in as a favourite. Not to mention the folding equity it theoretically can buy you.
Isn't this considered to be a standard/classic raise or muck situation?

The theoretical value of his doesnt decrease, if he knows when to fold. During this situation I would say that if a Q came I would fold but a J is borderline raise for someone to have in UTG. Dont forget he has a 5% pfr, so he's probably raising UTG with either large pockets or two overs. I bet fnord folds to any ace or any face above a queen.
