8/16 half kill.
Game is meh-Passive with loose spots pre-flop and lots of folding post-flop. I've been winning lots of pots without showdown. So far I've shown down a set and KJs that I raised pre-flop and lost to a limped AJ. Aggroish, Tightish image, but the table is a little suspect of me at this point.
SB is TAgg. I'm not sure how good, but I've seen him do otherwise unheard of things, like fold his SB for 2 chips in multi-way pots more often than not. Middle Eastern looking, wrap around glasses, nearly 3 racks of chips in racks, ready for combat. Raises his good non-pair hands pre-flop, plays good draws fast and follows through with his aggression. He's on my left and I love having him there because he gets out of my way when I enter pots and is kind enough to tip his pre-flop action to me before I act. This tell has already paid off in several hands.
Anyway, badish player kills it from EP, I raise QTo from the button, SB calls, BB folds, EP calls.
Flop is Q93 with 2 hearts. Checked to me and I bet. SB calls, EP calls.
Turn is another 3. Checked to me and I bet for value, EP folds, SB calls.
River is an airball, hearts didn't get there. SB checks and I check behind...

I am thinking he has A9. If he has you beat, I can only really see him having exactly QJ. I think Q9/KQ/AQ throw in a bet or raise somewhere.
You say the table may be a little suspect of you. Is this guy the type that would look you up with a pair in case you're 3 barreling with a whiffed AK/AJ/draw?

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I thought he'd have a tighter range pre-flop than this.
I was thinking ATs+, AJ+, KQ, JJ-22.

From the description of him, and your preflop raise on the button which is basically a steal, I could see him calling a little wider than that I think. I could see him 3-betting AJs/AQ+/TT+, but just calling hands like A9s, QJ, KT, 77, etc.

I think it being a kill pot and having ass position tightens him up a bit. Then again, I've only played with the guy for a couple hours at this point.

I like the check behind. If he has you beat he's probably expecting the chance to check-raise (you've been betting every street and he thinks you're aggro). If he was chasing the flush and (/or) straight then he's folding. If you have him beat he's likely to fold. Either way, betting gains you nothing.
