Fold pre-flop, post-flop is standard.

i would only consider playing 7,8 os in a pot with 6+ callers and im on sb (bb is obvious)

i would only continue playing it if flop came x,5,6 or x,6,9..... rainbow flops of course

This is a probable fold preflop, but if you're going to play it you need reads on Run and buysell preflop play.

With 2 coldcallers in front, I don't mind taking a peek at this hand if I was pretty sure one or both of those guys would limp along. 87 is nothing to sneeze at on the button when you've got 6 way action.

Postflop is fine; in fact this hand turned out Exactly the way you want an 87 to turn out. Run thinned out the field for you, you had the odds every time, and the river was a lock (the guy who raises that flop isn't holding JQ)

Again, don't get in the habit of coldcalling with this stuff unless it's a sweet spot like this one.

I fail to see anything debatable here. Pre-flop is HORRIBLE. Post-flop it pretty much plays itself.

Thanks to all those that replied.

After reviewing my session, I put this hand into the boredom category. I had not played a hand in a while (what seemd like forever0 and when I saw connectors on the button, I figured finally a hand worth looking at the flop. After review, I should have folded pre-flop.

Fnord:
Are you indicating that connectors lose value in limit or

1)78 is too low of a connector to play?
2)There was not enough action in the pot?

I am curious, I have switched from NL, where this hand has huge implied odds/value.

Do connectors play different in Limit.

in limit holdem, the only unsuited connectors ever worth playing are AK, KQ, QJ, and maybe JT.

against a raise, the only unsuited connector worth playing is AK. seriously.

the reason connectors have value in NL is that you have enormous implied odds if you hit your hand. but in limit you are generally not going to get paid off enough to cover all the times you miss. you got lucky on this hand but if you keep playing 87o against a raise, or even without a raise, you are going to miss the flop most of the time and go broke fast.
