Villain is loose-passive, a classic fish. This was the first hand he ever led out on the flop in 1 1/2 hours.

i may be able to find a fold on the flop with your read.
but, after the 5c hits, i'm showing down. it may turn out to be a mistake, but its not a big one.
kind of meh here because the pot isnt that big, the fish led out 3 streets into a multiway field, but we have 3rd flush. without any raising, its hard to know where we are. but, we obviously dont want to raise to see if he will three bet; we just want to keep this one cheap.
i usually kick myself for not seeing the obvious on the flop here. i dont think i will see QT or KJ here often. i will likely see something like the AXs or even Ac4h. being that this isnt your 15/30 game, i would bank on the latter. however, i would increase the chances of seeing QT, too.
poker gods strung you along here. you will win some and lose a lot of these types of hands at the lower stakes. you can just never be sure what they hold often enough to get aggressive or fold.

I think this is spot-on. I figured he might very well have just played any 2 suited cards and flopped a flush. Plus I had a straight flush draw so I might have a couple of outs even against an ace-high flush. It could have also been a bluff-- although I am not sure this guy was experienced enough to know that you can sometimes bluff effectively when you have a suited board. (If I didn't have a club in my hand, after all, I'm probably folding the turn.)
As it turned out, he flopped a flush with King-rag. So I had one out.

per recent discussions.....this is one huge difference between LHE and NL, imo. i may actually chase a passive player down with this hand in NL....provided i am deeeeeep and he doesnt fire too hard (which they usually dont). in LHE, the payoff doesnt justify chasing one lonely out. however, a NL fish cant drop the Qhi flush here....so my payoff is his stack. not 2 more bb's. my implieds are pretty high if he has what we think he has......and he is deep enough to dump some money off as a result.
btw, if you are playing online more often, we should set a time to play at the same tables. ddog, korn, asdpikas, and others did that a couple times last year. it was hella fun.

I'd love that. I play online a few hours every week and never serious money (low limit LHE and an occasional LOL donkament)-- I play much more live. But it would be fun to play with you guys.
