Villain is loose preflop, raising and 3betting a lot. I had played a pot with the him recently where I opened AAxx, he 3bet me, and then he flatted my 4bet with 7T9J. I pushed a T hi flop and he called with TP and a gutshot.
In this hand I could not figure out what he could be raising for value on the turn. Does he have something like a set plus a flush draw?
I called with the intention of betting safe rivers because I since I have JJ, he rarely has JT. Is that a reasonable way to think, or do I need a read that he bluff raises post flop for this to be ok?

So, villain is a station fish and he's raising turn with a range that beats you. Turn seems a prety standard fold cos planning to bluff shove rivers seems kinda gross and he has the hand you're trying to rep at least some of the time

I would just c/f the turn. He doesn't need JT to call here BvB plus when he raises the turn he has JT a lot. When he raises turn I would expect he has a pair with a draw or two pair with maybe a gutter
OTR as played he's never giving you JT because you didn't jam the turn so he'll probably call with most Aces Up hands.
Blockers imo are a good reason to bluff once into boards that you might normally just c/f like it comes 986 two tone and you have AA77. But to me making a big play here just because we have JJ is like people saying they never fold KK pre flop because you only see aces 1/220 or whatever it is. Sure it's rare, but when you get raised on the turn on this board (or 4 bet pre flop), it's a lot more often than 1/220.
