KoRnholio will become famous soon enough
Haven't played any O8 in probably close to a year. Wetting my feet in the low limits... Preflop is pretty (very?) marginal, but most pots were multiway without a raise, so I chose to call.

I felt very lost on this river, I didn't know if I should check or value bet (big or small). I am assuming that the villain is competent (stack of almost 300BB), so he very likely has something like A2 and/or a flush draw. And now at the river, any 6xxx ties my straight, and my A5 low doesn't look so good.

Is bet (around $5?) and fold to a raise a good line here?

Cryptologic - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.15/$0.25 Blinds - 11 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

mrnutly: $14.99
TheBorg: $5.00
HERO: $22.36
Tinneri: $13.01
Wangwhizz: $8.06
Whodaman: $21.65
chan: $1.96
someglo: $62.29
puppy99: $4.75

Preflop: is dealt 6 A Q 5 (9 Players)
HERO calls $0.25, Tinneri calls $0.25, Wangwhizz calls $0.25, Whodaman calls $0.25, chan calls $0.25, someglo calls $0.25, puppy99 calls $0.25, mrnutly folds, TheBorg checks

Flop: ($2.15) 4 3 K (8 Players)
TheBorg checks, HERO checks, Tinneri checks, Wangwhizz checks, Whodaman checks, chan checks, someglo checks, puppy99 checks

Turn: ($2.15) 7 (8 Players)
TheBorg checks, HERO bets $2.15, 3 folds, chan calls all-in for $1.71, someglo calls $2.15, 2 folds

River: ($8.16) 6 (3 Players - 1 All-In)
HERO bets...?
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

i would fold preflop

your subsequent play shows you why your hand is just not very good at all. If it was short handed on the button I'd take this hand and raise but I wouldn't be feeling great about it

I would check call the river unless villain was really shit or a calling station or just a total nit.

If I was villain on the river and I see a less than pot size bet like that on a scare card river, that's like waving a red cloth in front of a bull. I'd pot you with A2xx here for sure. I think you need to check and control the size of the pot. That way, a gin hand may only bet $5 at you trying to extract value.

But the real mistake was made in playing this hand at all
