I'm curious to see what people think about the betting on this one. This looks like a real interesting hand. I would've probably just folded preflop because suited connectors are a drawing hand and there weren't enough people in the pot for me to stay in.

I like the raise on the flop to see where you stood. I might have folded to his reraise.

After the turn spade you had to see the river because the implied/pot odds were there correct?

If you hit the spade on the river, would you have bet, or check to raise him to get the extra bet?

I thought you had him beat until that Ace came out. Otherwise, in blind defense, any two cards can win.

Aye, I was seriously considering check/raising the turn. Would be interesting to see if I could pull the trifecta here...

Given my read, check/raise. No way he puts me on 2 spades. Although maybe I should bet/re-raise more often in spots like this...

i like the check raise - i wonder what kind of response it would have gotten? if he's playing a weak ace, maybe he calls your C/R, then he'll fold to a river bet?
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...

I thought you played this hand well, I thought raising the turn was also a possibility but if he re-raises you have to call for the FD so a check /call is probably better. If you didn't have the FD but a GS or something a raise and fold to a re-raise would be an interesting line to take.
