I was just wondering if anyone round here played HU RING, not the Stars HU SnGs...

the only HU games that would remain HU are the .02/.04 LHE games... i remember back in the day when i sucked with br management i ended up at these tables

actully the poker room network offers HU tables at all levels i think bodog does too, and i think absolute does...

I have been playing 1/2 HU on Poker Room to work on my blind play. in SH games.
I am not doing so well.
I'll get it eventually though

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I've played a decent amount of heads-up limit poker (stud and holdem) and I think the results are highly luck-driven. As long as both players are reasonably aggressive, it's almost just a matter of who catches the best cards, unless one player is somehow consistently making huge mistakes (which is hard to do in limit poker).

not really I had a guy just play WAY over Argo against me HU and it was easy to adjust too, I just toned down my play and only raised with my very best holdings, and called more, it resulted in him donking $50 to me at 1/2...
I had another guy fold over 90% of his BB to my raise out of the SB so I got over Argo with him once he started calling or raising I slammed on the brakes w/o a strong hand...
If you can make the right adjustments to your opponents you can kill SOME of the luck factor involved with it, however if you think 4-6 handed is swingy well you haven’t played HU yet...  swings of 25bb+ (more like 50bb if you play a lot) are normal...
