I'm going to be posting a few more selected hands from my current bonus whoring .50/1.00 run at Party. Enjoy.

I've never seen someone play a pair of aces as bad as this guy. Yeh yeh yeh, bet the river, but I did induce him to bet on the end at least.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 3, J. Hero posts a blind of $0.5.
5 folds, Hero (poster) checks, CO (Sneaky Guy) raises, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 5, J, A (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, Sneaky Guy checks.

Turn: (4 BB) 3 (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, Sneaky Guy calls, SB folds, BB folds.

River: (10 BB) T (2 players)
Hero checks, Sneaky Guy bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has 3d Jd (two pair, jacks and threes).
Sneaky Guy has Qs Ah (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins 12 BB.

Painfully easy river bet/call.

If you have PokerTracker + PlayerView you should be playing 2/4.

i don't know why you didn't checkraise that river after you induced a bet.

Why screw up a street only once, when you can do it twice?

The river was bad. I should have doctored up the HH so I wouldn't catch this grief.

Shoulda bet out. He calls. 1 bet. Instead I induce the bet and call, making it 1 bet still. Luckily I didn't lose any bets.

My river play needs a ton of work. It's the trickiest street IMO because of the lack of fold equity. Can someone please point me to a good primer or discussion on river play and theory?

Still thinking about this hand - now I don't think I was underbetting my hand on the river so much as I had no clue where my opp was at. He cold called 2 bets on the turn... There were no obvious draws on the board...so I guess I was thinking slowplayed AJ maybe. I felt like it was really possible that T could have helped his A too. Passive players are so damn hard to read. I can't remember ever seeing an AJ5 board getting checked through when someone held the AQ in late position.

I will order ToP. I need it.

If you play 2/4 at Pacific and FishyPoker.com you don't need all that fancy stuff. I do have PokerTracker, but it's been collecting dust.

I think you missed a c/r on the river, usually your two pair is goot... if you don't want to shoot for the c/r then bet out... since you are playing 2/4 now I think your realize that…
