I obviously had a read on this guy that made me willing to go all in on the turn if he would have let me...
But against an unknown, how many bets would you go HU with the second nuts? 5? 6?
Cryptologic 5.00/10.00 Hold'em (6 handed) link
Preflop: Hero is BB with J , J .
UTG calls, 1 folds, CO raises, 2 folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls, CO calls.
Flop: (9.40 SB) 9 , J , T (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, CO folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls.
Turn: (7.70 BB) T (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG 4-bets, Hero 5-bets, UTG 6-bets, Hero 7-bets, UTG 8-bets, Hero 9-bets, UTG calls.
River: (25.70 BB) A (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.
Final Pot: 27.70 BB.
I guess this is another example of why you should have enough money at the table.
I had sat with 25BBs and he had a few grand on the table.
I was starting to think it was all going in the middle on the turn.

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

i think i might put in the 7th bet but call his 8th bet, getting free rolled by quads would suck but if he would play the same with AT i would keep going and hold on and hope it doesn't hurt...

Pfft, you worried about quads? Hes much more likely to have 99, 9t, or have flopped the straight. Raise until he realizes he's fucked. I might stop somewhere around bet 15.

Well of course it happens - but do you think if you cap there every time, you're really losing money?

Its all rippys fault.
The funniest part about the hand is SBs play on the river.. check/call two "Oh shit, I'm probably beat", call another two. "Oh fuck, I'm 100% sure I'm beat. I call." Love it.
Just glad it was when I was bonus clearing at 3/6 and not at my normal 10/20 game.
